I just finished a book called Things not Seen about a week ago, it was filled with fascinating stuff. The beginning, Bobby Philips the main character wakes up one morning and was doing his normal school routine that's when it happened. Bobby was in the shower and after it he fell into the shower then he got up looked into the mirror and he wasn't there, at first he thought it was the fog on the mirror so he wiped it off, but he still couldn't see himself so he thought it was all a bad dream. Bobby went to his room went into his bed closed his eyes, bobby got up and looked at himself and still he wasn't there!!! Bobby went down stairs and said MOM, DAD come here quick, Bobby's parents said Bobby you get down here. Bobby said I am right here, Bobby's parents said we don't have time for games I am not playing games I am really right here see for yourself. Bobby's dad is some sort of scientist and he went over to take a good look at him, so bobby helped him a little by putting out his hand and his dad touched it and said oh OH MY GOSH hes invisible. His mom almost fainted , she went over and said Bobby is it really you and he said yes. His mother went to talk to his dad and she said WHAT DO WE DO, the dad said we will have to keep him at home for awhile until we figure out the problem. Bobby stayed home. When is parents got home they yelled for him and he answered yeah they said just checking in. The next day Bobby went down stairs yelled MOM DAD they weren't home, Bobby down stairs and there was a note and it said Bobby I went to go pick up you mother from the university, stay out of trouble, Dad
Bobby went to the library,because that is what he mainly did in his free time. At the library he was only looking at books not reading them because it could look like a book floating in midair. On the way out of the library bobby bumped into a girl, Bobby said I am so sorry let me help you. Bobby picked up the books and handed them to her and he said I am so sorry, the girl said can you give me the cane that I dropped I need it for my way home. What your name? Alicia, what's your name? Bobby, nice to have met you, you to I said. I walked out of the library and went home, I sat on the couch and turned on the T.V. and started watching the news and it showed a three way crash and one of the cars looked like the one my parents have, the phone rang and I answered it, the voice said are you Bobby Philips I said yes the voice said we have your parents here at the hospital because they got into a three way car crash. Bobby your parents are going to be OK, but it will take a few days until they are going to be OK. Bobby I want to make sure you are going to have someone taking care of you , your mom said you should call aunt Ethel first OK, OK. bobby call back here when you have found someone to take care of you bye, bye. I called back and said i am going to be taken care of by my aunt Ethel, OK, bye, bye. I thought sense I am invisible I can go into a taxi and go see my mom. I dressed up so no one could tell i was invisible then I went outside and whistled for a taxi, then before I knew it I was there standing in front of the hospital. I walked in went to the front desk and I said I am looking for the Phillips, sorry we can't give out that info right now. I waited there trying to figure something out, a doctor just walked right by me and dropped off two clip boards and they were my parents I quick took a look at the room number so I went to the bathroom took of my clothes so no one could see me and I tip toed to my moms room and there I saw her sleeping. I tap on her a little bit and say mom its me Bobby, Bobby is it really you how did you get here I saw you room number on a clip board a doctor set down by the office. I am so glad to see you, mom how is this going to work with aunt Ethel? Bobby I have everything planned you just go home, see you in a few days bye I love you, bye mom can I go see dad no he is having surgery on his arm bye. I went home and it was very scary the first night i stayed up watching my favorite movie shows, then I went to bed. The next day my mom called to see how everything was going I went to the library saw Alicia and then talked to her and then went home, that's what I mainly did then one day we were walking and she said do you want to walk me to me house its only a couple of blocks away from here and I said sure, Alicia said can I hold on to you so you can guide me there I said sure. As we were walking there was a guy on a scooter going really fast and he wasn't going to stop, he was coming closer I didn't have enough time to tell her, there he was I grabbed a hold of her and I pushed her out of the way. Why did you push me aside like that? Alicia I tried to save you form the kid on the scooter, thanks but are you naked I didn't say anything then she said are so guy tyring to jack me or something? No, if I told you, you would think yeah right Bobby try me tell me the reason why you are naked. Alicia I am invisible, ha ha ha don't fool me, ask someone if they can see me. Alicia grabbed my hand and she stared walking, a guy walked right by us but Alicia said excuse me sir do you see anyone right here next to me? Sorry little girl I don't, then he left. Alicia I am sorry I didn't tell you but I'm not suppose to tell anyone please keep it a secret, OK bye Bobby, bye Alicia. When I got home the phone rang I hurried to get it Bobby is this you yes mom, Bobby I was so worried where were you? I was at the library, Bobby I am coming home tomorrow around 1:30pm OK, OK bye, bye. The next day I waited Intel my mom got home, she was so happy to see me. We both walked inside and she looked really mad at the the big messes everywhere instead of telling me what to do she said could you please help clean, then she stated cleaning didn't even turn around to see if I was cleaning or not. i asked her do you think I could go to the library she said why? Mom this doesn't seem as bad if you look at it my way, Bobby what did you do? Mom I met a friend at the library and her name is Alicia and on day she got mad at me and she called me names she thought I was doing so I got really mad and said i was invisible so she asked this man if there was someone right next to me and he said no so she now knows I am invisible. Bobby how long have you known this girl a couple of days, Bobby I am sorry mom i just wanted someone that knew I was invisible, I understand, I hope this family will be on our side. I went to the library and found her by a computer and when we were talking a man was watching us but Alicia kept talking i think he is staring because she is talking to a wall, the man came right around the corn nor by the door and he came bursting in and said Alicia who are you talking to, Alicia said no one, he said as your father i patent ion to you and I saw you talk to a wall for 15min. Sir, who said that me, daddy i met a person who is invisible but you can't tell anyone ok dad, ok, so are you really invisible, yeah. I won't tell anyone carry on. Thanks. I better be going now see ya Alicia, bye. i went home told my mom what had happened and she said if it had to be like that it's ok she said.When dad came home we told him about everything and then he is like sense the whole family knows about it we should invite them to dinner Alicia's dad could be a big help, They came over and Alicia's dad and mine tried to figure it out. It was getting late and so they all went home. The next day Bobby called Alicia and said the blanket is from sears maybe they had some complaints on the blanket to. Alicia you have to come to sears with me, she said i don't know please oh fine, tomorrow bye, bye. The next day we went to sears and got the pieces of paper and I called each person but know one, then I looked at the last couple and called them the last one i hope this is it. Hello, hi i am calling because of some sort of heating blanket, yeah my daughter had one is she there can I talk to her? She ran away from home and hasn't been seen for 3 years we only get e-mails every one or two years, sir do you have her e-mail address yeah I do, can I have it ? sure here it is , thank you so much. On her e-mail it told everything her name phone number everything so i called her up and said is this Sheila yes who is this? My name is Bobby Phillips and I was wondering if you have had problems with a blanket heater no i don't think so bye, wait. She had already hung up. I called her again this time it was the answering machine and I said Sheila I know how you feel, i just would like you to answer one question are you invisible? because I am, Bobby I am invisible, but please tell know one ok , ok. then she hung up. I called Alicia and said I found someone who is invisible but you can't tell anyone, ok I won't, bye, bye. Hey dad i found someone who is invisible just like me but I can't share any of that info with you because I promised i wouldn't, SORRY. Then I went to bed and in the morning she called and said Bobby I am sorry but I don't want to go back forget you ever knew me, I hope everything turns out as you had hoped bye. I called Alicia and told her. That didn't stop me, the best part was they figured it out and I was not invisible any more.
